Romans 3:20
Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. (NKJV)
Paul explained that by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in God’s sight. Paul means that if we depend on the law, the Ten Commandments, to be justified in God’s eyes, not a single person will be justified. For by the law is the knowledge of sin. The Law is good, but the purpose of the Law is not to save you, but to let you know that you have sinned. The Law makes us realise that we cannot fulfil it because we are not perfect. Instead of telling God that we can accomplish everything, tell God that we could not meet the requirements of the Law. The bible tells us that when we are angry with someone, we have already committed murder. The Ten Commandments state “Thou shalt not kill” and the book of James advises us that if we falter in one commandment, we falter in all ten. Is there anyone who never gets angry at all? Hence, by the law is the knowledge of sin.
