1 Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose [g]stripes you were healed. (NKJV)
Jesus bore our sins in His own body on the cross so that we, having died to sin, might live for righteousness. The message of the cross is this: As sinners, we deserved judgment and curse, but because of Jesus’ finished work, all our sins have been forgiven, and we are now blessed. We were meant to live lives marked by struggle and strife—but because of the cross, we are called to live abundant lives, full of peace and favor, both in our families and in our workplaces. Amen.
